Who We Are

Ours is a small, family-run farm, established by our uncle in the early nineties as his personal refuge from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. My siblings and I have been managing it for the past ten years and have gradually transformed it into primarily an olive farm, although we do still grow delicious asparagus and dates on the land.

Growing up with a Peloponnesian mum, olives and olive oil are part of who we are, and over the years we have honed our skills to the point where we are now proud to produce an extra virgin olive oil that we think holds up well against the most exalted brands globally. We named it Namir in recognition of its exceptional purity.

Our registered trading name is Green October City (G.O.C.) and our administrative office is based in Mosadak Street in Mohandessin.

Our People

Our management team is a tight-knit group of four. There's me, Farouk, and I run the farm on behalf of my family.

Ayman  is my right-hand man and manages the farm on a day to day basis. An accountant by profession, he runs the place like clockwork.

Khaled is our green-fingered head of agriculture and resides on the farm. He has extensive experience in olive farming and has trained in Italy and Spain.

Finally, Amira (not pictured) runs our administrative office in Mohandessin.
